Reading is useful for gaining understanding, knowledge, and information. This study aimed to determine the effect of using photo comics media on reading interest and learning outcomes in elementary social studies subjects. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a Non-equivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The subject of this study is elementary students at the fifth grade level. Data obtained through the implementation of direct learning to school by assessment using questionnaires and tests. Analysis of the data using the t-test. The results showed that the use of photo comics media has a significant positive effect on reading interest and student learning outcomes. This was evidenced after a positive change in asking students to read after being treated with photo comics media. In addition, student learning outcomes are satisfactory after integrating photo comic media in learning activities. Keywords: learning outcomes, photo comics, reading interest, social studies;
Informatics and Business Institute Darmajaya is one of higher education institute that conduct quality standard in service area. Acknowled gement to the service proven by ISO 9001:2015 certificate issued by International Standard Organization since 2008. One of standard in our quality standard is concern about the quality of service, and impremented in the form of fascility monitoring in Darmajaya campus. Facilities and infrastucture particulary classromm and laboratorium which is the main aspect in the learning process between lecturer and student to conduct course interaction.This application designed to build a system to collect complaint report that could help to support course interaction. Prototype model used in the design of these system.Our reseach has been resulting and application to collect complaint report about facilities and infrastucture than run on android based system. The application give support to process the report and also complaint system information. We concluded that our system can be use for real-time monitoring for facilities and infrastucture. Xiaomi smartphone is a smartphone vendors from China newly entered the smartphone market in Indonesia, in contrast to the smartphone with low price and low quality. Xiaomi markets its products with a premium price and high quality products, positioning as a brand management newcomer. This study aims to analyze and discuss the influence of perceived quality and country of origin effect of the Xiaomi smartphone purchase intention (studies in the visitors of Plaza Marina Surabaya). The population in this study is a person aged 19-50 years old who is visiting Plaza Marina Surabaya. In this study, researcher used 220 samples. Sampling method is a non-probability sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. In multiple linear regression analysis results show the influence of variables perceived quality and country of origin effect for the purchase intention in the show of the value of Adjusted R Square of 0.407. From the results of the t test that has been done can be seen that the variable perceived quality and country of origin effect has a significant influence partially on the purchase intention.
The operating activities of a supermarket include all transactions. One of which is the payment of groceries. With a limited number of cashiers, it causes problems such as the buildup of queues at the cashier. In the consumer view, consumers often do not pay attention to the total price of the purchases taken. Thus, the budget does not match the accumulation of the items taken. This application was designed using the prototype development method and the brute force algorithm. The brute force algorithm looked for matches between the pattern and the text one by one from left to right. This algorithm was able to shift continuously every time a mismatch was found until the pattern was at the end of the text. The result of this study found that a mobile application made consumers finding out the accumulated prices of goods directly and easily by using a barcode scan on the goods. Moreover, it also eased to search for the desired goods by using the search feature based on product descriptions and product categories. Thus, consumers were able to control the spending budget according to the budget without worry at the checkout.
