Abstracl. The current-voltage characteristics of high-quality YBCO thin films deposited onto MgO have been measured in both zero and finite applied magnetic fields. The wide dynamic range of the measurements, the high experimental precision and the observation of extremely well defined power law behaviour below the phase transition temperature have enabled u s to demonstrate that vortex glass scaling does not occur, and that 2D vortex unbinding provides a better account of the results.

Multiple high-speed optical wireless access terminals using vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) and receiver arrays are proposed on the basis of an optical micro cell (OMC) system. Based on this concept, data multibeam directions can be controlled fastly using a single lens, a VCSEL array, electronic matrix switches, a hub-node phase locked loop (PLL)-large scale integration (LSI), and an end-node laser diode (LD)/photodiode (PD)-receiver array.
