this work is aimed to calculate the distribution of the electric fields, current charge density and induced currents on a human body standing in the vicinity of High Voltage Transmission Line. The ground plane electric field underneath transmission line is approximately uniform. In the presence of human body this field is highly perturbed due to the charges on the body and may reach eight or ten times higher than the unperturbed (uniform) field. Therefore, accurate calculation of electric field induced currents in the human body is required which can be done by using the enhanced electric field values. Induced Electric field and currents on human body are investigated by varying the height of the lowest conductor of HV Lines and by varying the distance of the body from the center of transmission line. The method of analysis is based on the Charge Simulation technique. The accuracy of the calculated values has been measured by comparing the results with previously published values.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
