The aim of the research is to examine the degree of competitiveness of the agri-food sector of the Republic of Serbia on the market of the European Union (EU) countries, as the most significant export market. Two partial indices were used in the analysis: the net trade index (NTI) and the Grubel-Lloyd index (GLI). In addition to these indicators, unit export and import price analysis was also used to obtain data on the type of competitiveness achieved by the divisions of the agri-food sector. The results show that the cereals division makes the highest contribution to reducing the existing trade deficit, while the high values of the GLI reflect a high degree of integration with this market. The agri-food sector shows dominant price competitiveness in terms of the share of such divisions in total exports to the EU. The results will include recommendations for improving the structure of exports by focusing on specific divisions.
Abstract:The aim of this paper is to analyse and estimate the efficiency of health information systems in the provision of health care services. The evaluation of health information systems is conducted in the case of three most widely used softwares in the electronic health care. This evaluation is based on multi-criteria analysis of the health information systems efficiency using the AHP-TOPSIS method. This method, based on common attributes and their respective values for all three software solutions, individually determines the best rated software solution. Top rated software solution of electronic health care is not necessarily the best for the implementation and development, given the fact that each health care organisation has its own characteristics. Functional and evolutionary-minded hardware and software applicative infrastructure contributes to the consistency of electronic health concept that all system users provides a comfortable software solutions, which ultimately leads to the timely and quick medical services in real time.
The development of congress tourism was conditioned by the development of civilization, which aimed to gather an increasing number in various communities to spread knowledge and ideas and transfer technology. The role of congress tourism in the organization of congress events as well as in the choice of destination in the 21st century is an important factor in the development of the tourism sector since this form of business tourism is very important for the professional development of its participants and actors. . Also, due to the exchange of knowledge and experiences at various congress events, the overall development of the economy and science. Accordingly, the aim of this paper will be a two-step cluster analysis that will group countries into clusters based on two indicators -The number of meetings and the number of participants in meetings in 2019, according to the last updated data from ICAA. The lowest value of Schwarz's Bayesian Criterion will reveal the number of clusters, while the average value by clusters will determine the most dominant cluster of countries based on the mentioned indicators.
The aim of the research is to classify the European Union (EU) countries based on the progress in the economic performance of agriculture. The originality of the paper stems from the fact that a new set of indicators (in relative form) was used to identify the clusters. The following indicators are used to assess the economic performance of the EU agricultural sector (by cluster analysis) for two periods (2015-2017 and 2018-2020): total labor force input, real income of factors in agriculture per annual work unit, total agricultural output, gross value added of the agricultural industry, and animal output. The study confirmed that EU countries, according to changes in agricultural performance, differ significantly. They were grouped into four relatively homogeneous clusters according to their similarity, with a clear geographical dispersion for both analyzed periods. Identifying development disparities between EU countries can be useful in future redesigns of the Common Agricultural Policy measures in terms of increased support to certain members.
The aim of this research is to examine key indicators that are necessary for the implementation and development of smart farming concepts in the agricultural industry, especially from the applied mobile technology point of view. Accordingly, the authors used a neural network based software solution to determine the correlation, relationship structure and partial contribution of indicators for the mobile technology development in agricultural industries in selected countries. The validity of the input-output model in a neural network based software solution was evaluated using the Minkowski error and Quasi-Newton method through several iterations/epochs. The neural network structure has shown the importance of particular indicators for adopting a mobile technology perspective in the agricultural industry, where the application of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in agriculture is most emphasized. Only those countries that invest the most in the ICT in the agricultural sector can achieve greater efficiency and productivity by applying smart farming.
