The tristimulus values (X, Y, Z) of the color need to be faithfully matched when a specified color is to be reproduced on the display. In RGB color system, there is only one solution, but in multi‐primary‐color system, there will be numerous combinations due to the color redundancy. In this paper, a 5.5‐inch 6‐primary‐color module was made with resolution of FHD (1920 x 1080) and a color conversion model was established to solve the problem of color reproduction redundancy.
A widely tunable ultra-narrow linewidth single-longitudinal-mode Brillouin fiber laser (SLM-BFL) with low threshold is proposed and experimentally demonstrated by using a 205 m long high-nonlinear fiber (HNLF) as Brillouin gain media. The single-longitudinalmode (SLM) operation is guaranteed by cascaded filters composed of a fiber ring Fabry-Pérot filter and a self-induced narrow filter based on a 4 m unpumped erbium-doped fiber. Owing to the long ring cavity, the BFL has a low threshold of 12.8 mW and ultra-narrow linewidth of 0.29 kHz. The BFL can be tuned from 1532 to 1577 nm. The optical signal-to-noise ratio of the fiber laser is higher than 70 dB during the 45 nm tune range.
Today HDR (High Dynamic Range) Displays are increasingly developed. The HDR Display with mini‐led backlight and liquid‐crystal panel plays an important role, it has a lot of advantages like high light (more than 1000nits), high contrast ratio (more than 100000:1), bright color and good permeability and so on. But it also has some display defects like halo[3] phenomenon in a dark scene. In this paper, first, we discuss some common picture quality issues caused by the normal local dimming algorithm[2] and then present a novel algorithm base on BOE COG (chip on glass) mini‐led backlight HDR display. The BOE COG technology is a global unique glass substrate backlight solution, and has some features to help the algorithm improve its performance. And for the local dimming display issues, the algorithm itself has room for optimizing visual effects. Finally, around the key point of local dimming algorithm, we show several advantages of BOE glass substrate backlight solution, its distinctive features can help the algorithm improve picture quality.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
