For the traditional power supply of the non-continuous load Boost-Buck LED, when it has a high power factor, it will produce a significant low frequency ripple current. In this paper, a new type of LED driver power supply technology based on buck boost topology is proposed. The advantage of this technique is that the low frequency ripple current is greatly reduced without affecting the performance of the power factor and the advantages of high efficiency and low cost of the traditional boost buck LED driver are also preserved. We validate the performance of this new technology through a 30W and 50V-2A experimental prototype.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
