A double Ullmann coupling reaction successfully takes place between 4,5-diaryl-2-(2-bromophenyl)-1H-imidazoles and 2-bromophenols in the presence of Cs2CO3. This procedure is catalyzed by copper(I) iodide and o-phenanthroline and provides an efficient method for the synthesis of dibenzo[b,f]imidazo[1,2-d][1,4]oxazepine derivatives in good yields.
A novel method for the synthesis of dibenzo[b,f]imidazo[1,2-d] [1,4] oxazepine derivatives was described via cascade Csp 2 N and Csp 2 O bond constructions. It was a crossed double Ullmann reactions using 4,5-diaryl-2-(2-hydroxylphenyl)-1H-imidazole as the double nucleophilic centers in the presence of Cs 2 CO 3 , while 1-bromo-2-iodobenzene was used as a substrate catalyzed by CuI and o-phenanthroline in good yields.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
