This paper introduces the Openfiler operation system to setup a network storage environment, and to build five different private small-cloud computing servers (PSCCS). Then by using the iSCSI storage technique through the TCP/IP protocol to explore the accessing assessments of the Openfiler storage device for each feasible cloud computing system is undertaken. This includes comparing reading efficiency between storage device and cache. This storage technique can alleviate each physical host's burden, and also becomes a storage method of shared resources. These assessments can provide optimized solutions to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), schools, and social groups in choosing a private small-cloud computing server. Experiment results of accessing assessment of the Openfiler storage device shows that cloud server VMware vSphere V (ESX server) has the highest performance rate, but comes with high costs; alternatively free software Proxmox VE is the best choice among private small-cloud computing server.
A high-performance real-time video/voice over IP (VV oIP) applications have been implemented using an Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud (UEC) and it is denoted UEC-VVOIP. It really outperforms the previous VV oIP via P2P connection (called SCTP-IHU) because user does not need to know what is a real IP and browsing the web with TCP-Based RMTP protocol achieves a pretty good friendly user interface. Therefore, this scheme reduces computation load and power consumption dramatically at user side. We have employed back-propagation neural network (BPNN) together with particle swarm optimization (PSO) to appropriately tune seamless handoff and analyze network traffic over time. As a result it takes about 1.597 sec for the seamless handoff between base stations under mobile wireless network. In access control the rapid facial recognition and fingerprint identification via cloud computing has been done successfully within 2.18 seconds to identify the subject. In conclusion the performance of both measures is better than the alternative VV oIP using Hadoop platform we've done before.
Abstract. This study employed an open source Ubuntu Enterprise Server together with Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud to construct a "Private Small-Cloud Computing" (PSCC) in which a cloud controller (CLC ) has been linked to some cluster controllers (CC), where the cloud computing initiates the services like SaaS, PaaS, and/or IaaS. A cloud controller (CLC ) may connect remote mobile devices or thin clients through the wired or wireless networking, for example, Ethernet, WiFi or 3G. We also made mobile device or thin client to be a low-capacity Linux embedded platform where JamVM virtual machine is utilized to form the J2ME environment and GNU Classpath is viewed as Java Class Libraries. Finally, the rapid identification fulfills access security within 2.2 seconds in PSCC in order to verify the cloud system effectiveness and efficiency in access security.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
