The study explores the uses of gadgets to assist young learners in their quest for learning. More specifically, the aims of the current study are to identify the gadgets that are used among children for learning purposes, hours they spend in using the gadgets, rules that are being implemented by parents for the uses of gadgets, benefits gain by children in the uses of the gadgets and parents’ expectations of the uses of the gadgets for learning purposes. The study that employs qualitative research among six respondents found that smartphones, tablets and computers were among the gadgets that were used by the children when parents permitted them to use the tools on average for three hours. It was also observed that some parents were rigid while some were lenient setting rules for their children to use the gadgets. Various perceived benefits were also demonstrated among parents. In terms of expectations, parents demonstrated some hope that the uses of the gadgets among their children would make the latter able to learn language, mathematics and social skills; to name a few. The study implies that parents need to control the uses of gadgets among their children even though the tools are used for learning purposes.
Knowledge management is the term used to describe approaches that knowledge workers employ in fulfilling their assigned tasks. The use of technology eases the process of completing their work because it provides systematic methods of managing the process of applying knowledge. Therefore, the current study seeks to find answers on the use of YouTube regarding the type of content selected by the teachers when using the platform and the kind of activities that require them to use the channel for teaching and learning purposes. The study uses qualitative data inquiries to collect responses from 23 preschool teachers. Four themes are formulated as findings in the current study. They are “YouTube consolidates teaching and learning,” “use of YouTube for educational songs,” “use of YouTube to improvise teacher-made songs,” and “nonusage of YouTube.” It concludes that knowledge is transferred explicitly when preschool teachers use the platform as a resource for teaching and learning. The technology, that is, YouTube, has somewhat assisted them in teaching the preschoolers in their early literacy development by watching entertaining yet educational materials. The study implied that YouTube could be an educational resource that teachers can use in teaching young learners. Also, it suggested that it could be a source of information that teachers may use to find relevant materials for their classes.

The new generation of digital natives have certain expectations about the use of technology, such as the Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) in their EFL classrooms. The current research study conducted at a Saudi university, involving two intact groups from the preparatory year EFL learners, aimed at understanding the perceptions and insights of the learners while providing them intervention with the help of Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) for 6 weeks. The data was collected at the end of the intervention, through a Likert-scale questionnaire designed for this study. The data attained showed that Saudi EFL learners' experiences about the effects of Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) on their vocabulary achievement and their motivation were positive. Whereas the experiences of both the male and female participants were similar.
In recent decades, various digital technology tools such as Google Docs, wikis, and other collaborative writing platforms have shifted the writing perspectives from product-based to process-based writing. Motivation is a crucial component in developing learners' writing skills. It is not feasible to study if one lacks motivation. Therefore, the function of motivation in student learning is crucial to ensure effective writing among students. This paper presents a review of the current trends in the integration of Google Docs in collaborative writing. The review includes critical and analytical discussions on the motivational impact of using Google Docs to support collaborative writing. This study employed content analysis as a data analysis method. The findings show that Google Docs is beneficial to creating a supportive and motivating learning environment for learners. This paper suggests that more studies should be conducted to comprehensively explore the integration of Google Docs in collaborative writing in terms of learning outcomes and attitudes, particularly in the Malaysian higher education setting. Furthermore, examining studies on teachers' attitudes toward collaborative writing and Google Docs integration is highly advised.
