Plastic deformation of the Cu – 14 mass.% Al − 4 mass.% Ni alloy with shape memory effect
were used by uniaxial compression (upset), controlled by measurements of the strain rate,
applied stress and compression ratio of standard samples under isothermal conditions in
temperature range 400–600 ° C. Optical, scanning and transmission electron microscopy and X-ray phase methods analysis where used in the study of changes in the structure of the alloy subjected to mechanical tests. It was found that effects of significant refinement of the grain structure (from 1 mm to 100 μm) and
simultaneous increase in strength and ductility due to the process of dynamic recrystallization.
