В публикации анализируется роль традиций в познавательной деятельности, представляющей собой сложный, часто противоречивый процесс познания мира, на основе исторически сложившихся традиций. Важное место отводится традициям этноса, формирующими его мировоззрения, поведенческие установки, отношение к окружающему миру, образ жизни. Представляется необходимым рассмотрение этнокультурных традиций как важнейшую форму познания мира представителями этноса, в ходе которой вырабатывается его ментальные особенности, понимание социальной реальности, формируется соответствующий образ жизни. The publication analyzes the role of traditions in cognitive activity, which is a complex, often contradictory process of understanding the world, based on historically established traditions. An important place is given to the traditions of the ethnos, which form its worldview, behavioral attitudes, attitude to the world around it, and way of life. It seems necessary to consider ethnocultural traditions as the most important form of cognition of the world by representatives of an ethnos, in the course of which its mental characteristics, understanding of social reality are developed, an appropriate way of life is formed.
В статье раскрывается сложный процесс становления современного гражданского общества в России, сопряженного с переходом страны от авторитарной организации политической жизнедеятельности к демократическому обществу, а также наметившиеся позитивные тенденции. Подчеркивается стратегическое значение формирования гражданского самосознания молодого поколения в реализации его творческого потенциала в интересах страны. На основе анализа ментальных характеристик одного из народов Северного Кавказа - чеченцев, показано, что в условиях современных социокультурных трансформаций гражданская идентичность проявляет себя в развитии политической культуры, правовом сознании, исторической памяти, патриотизме и осознании своей принадлежности к российскому сообществу народов. Учитывая включенность молодежи в общественную и культурную жизнь многонациональной страны, задача решается исходя из концепции, утвердившейся в современном обществоведении, о доминантной роли этнической идентичности, ценностей гуманизма и нравственности, составляющих ее основу. The article reveals the complex process of formation of modern civil society in Russia, coupled with the transition of the country from the authoritarian organization of political life to a democratic society, as well as the emerging positive trends. The strategic importance of the formation of civic consciousness of the younger generation in the realization of its creative potential in the interests of the country is emphasized. Based on the analysis of the mental characteristics of one of the peoples of the North Caucasus - the Chechens, it is shown that in the conditions of modern socio-cultural transformations, civil identity manifests itself in the development of a politic culture, legal consciousness, historical memory, patriotism and awareness of its belonging to the Russian community of peoples. Taking into account the inclusion of models in the social and cultural life of a multinational country, the task is solved on the basis of the concept established in modern social science, about the dominant role of ethnic identity, the values of humanism and morality that form its basis.

Ethnocultural traditions of a particular people are a set of values associated with its cultural heritage, which contains heterogeneous components that regulate the way of life, behavioral attitudes, representatives of this ethnos. An important place in this totality is occupied by moral, humanistic parameters that determine their way of life, spiritual and moral principles, worldview. In the life of peoples, their ethnocultural traditions and humanistic component represent the basis of existence, and its preservation is important in the context of the global development of the world. The cultural heritage of the ethnos -manifested primarily in morality and humanistic parameters -does not disappear with globalization and digitalization of the world; it persists and changes under the influence of external civilizational factors, features of mass culture and crisis socio-cultural situations that contribute to its modernization. The ethnocultural traditions of the peoples of the North Caucasus have their own characteristics, including the cultural traditions of the Chechens. Of course, they include universal human values -a system of ideals that are subject to globalization and informatization. The publication substantiates the idea that the processes of globalization, as well as digitalization, do not eliminate, but even more raise the importance of humanistic values characteristic of society, individuals, forming their unity and overcoming inhuman acts in society.
