This work is about the possibility of early diagnostics of the technical condition of the VR 294 main reduction gear in the MI 28N helicopter and its modified versions. Tribological tests of LZ 240 oil sam ples taken when testing the operational life are conducted based on the analytical ferrography, morphological analysis, wear particle count, and spectroscopic analysis.
