Results on the investigation of magnetic and magneto-optical properties of nanocrystalline Fe/Zr and Fe/Zr, Mo/Fe thin-film systems are presented. The examined samples were prepared by DC magnetron sputtering technique. The structural investigations of the samples were performed by X-ray diffraction analysis. The hysteresis loops and spectral dependencies of the transverse Kerr effect were measured employing the magneto-optical magnetometer and the magneto-optical spectrometer, respectively. The influence of the Zr and Mo layer thickness on the magnetic and magneto-optical properties of the examined samples was observed.
Coronavirus RNA-dependent RNA polymerases produce subgenomic RNAs (sgRNAs) that encode viral structural and accessory proteins. User-friendly bioinformatic tools to detect and quantify sgRNA production are urgently needed to study the growing number of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data of SARS-CoV-2. We introduced sgDI-tector to identify and quantify sgRNA in SARS-CoV-2 NGS data. sgDI-tector allowed detection of sgRNA without initial knowledge of the transcription-regulatory sequences. We produced NGS data and successfully detected the nested set of sgRNAs with the ranking M>ORF3a>N>ORF6>ORF7a>ORF8>S>E>ORF7b. We also compared the level of sgRNA production with other types of viral RNA products such as defective interfering viral genomes.
An overview of classical similarity measures between objects and their usage for estimation of similarity between texts and ontologies are presented. An adaptation of existent methods of similarity measures in case of ontology-driven system access to electronic documents is suggested. A method of relevance estimating of electronic documents to starting fragment of ontology is proposed.-Bibl. 27 items.
A method of selection of DNA aptamers to breast tumor tissue based on the use of postoperative material has been developed. Breast cancer tissues were used as the positive target; the negative targets included benign tumor tissue, adjacent healthy tissues, breast tissues from mastopathy patients, and also tissues of other types of malignant tumors. During selection a pool of DNA aptamers demonstrating selective binding to breast cancer cells and tissues and insignificant binding to breast benign tissues has been obtained. These DNA aptamers can be used for identification of protein markers, breast cancer diagnostics, and targeted delivery of anticancer drugs.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
