The article presents the author’s view of the impact of globalization, internationalization, transnationalization on the development of the international tourism industry with the substantiation of the features of institutional transformations caused by large-scale, structural and other changes in the world economy, in particular, the analysis of the development of the tourism industry of the leading countries, which are centers to attract tourist flow (France, USA, Spain, China, Italy), as well as Ukraine. As a result of correlation and regression models, the potential of the industry and its investment attractiveness were established. It is proved that within the countries’ economic activity, the tourism sector makes a significant contribution to the creation of the gross national product. Characterizing the coefficients in the multivariate regression equation, it can be stated that the most significant impact on GDP is the factor of “Income from international tourism”, since for all countries, it has a positive value greater than one. As for such a factor as “Total investment in the tourism industry”, for all but Ukraine, this factor is characterized by a negative impact on GDP, which determines the high costs of infrastructure development, which are not always paid off by the income of the incoming tourist flow in the short term.
Due to the deepening imbalances in the development of world energy and the uneven distribution of traditional energy resources, countries are forced to apply innovative forms and methods of radical changes in the structure of energy consumption. The formation of energy independence is based on the use of the innovative potential of the economy and the introduction of renewable energy sources. The econometric analysis showed a high level of influence of energy consumption based on wind and solar energy, the share of energy supplies from renewable sources, imports of mineral fuel, oil and its distillation products, financing of innovative activities of industrial enterprises on the country’s GDP in a multifactor model. The implementation of innovative restructuring of the energy sector will reduce the level of energy intensity of GDP, increase the share of energy derived from renewable energy sources and reduce the consumption of traditional energy resources, which will provide an appropriate level of energy independence. The assimilation of complex world-class innovations in the field of energy determine the criteria of energy efficiency, encourage the active implementation of such measures, through which it is possible to predict the results of further scientific and practical search.
Abstract. The purpose of the work is to consider the theoretical applied foundations of the use of alternative sources of energy in Ukraine and the world, the study of the theoretical bases, and specificity of the use of existing alternative energy sources in the context of globalization, the world practice of the use of alternative sources of energy; lighted up the features of the use of alternative energy sources in Ukraine in modern conditions. A special attention is focused on the analysis of energy efficiency of Ukrainian regions and its determinants, and investigated the general trend regarding the situation in the oil market and investment in renewable energy. Methodology The study is based on the indicators of renewable energy and energy efficiency of the regions of Ukraine in 2015 and the inclusion of indicators of the average oil price, investment in renewable energy sources, the rate of growth of prices, growth rates of investments in 2004-2016. In general, in mainland Ukraine, there are several dozens of solar power plants capacity from 1 to 15 MW, and more than a dozen SES have a capacity from 20 to 120 MW (some under construction). Thanks to a special "green tariff", which is valid since 2011, solar energy has become a lucrative business that has attracted foreign investors. According to statistics, the volume of commissioning of new solar power plants in 2013 almost doubled compared to 2012. Results. It is determined that an important element of policy implementation in the field of energy saving and use of alternative sources is the introduction of financial, organizational and economic activities that give the opportunity to implement principles of sustainable development in public administration, and in terms of decentralization -by local governments. In the management, the determining are such policies in the field of energy efficiency as: pricing mechanisms; mechanisms of regulation and control; financial measures and fiscal incentives; mechanisms of development and transformation of the market; technological development; business development and capacity building (creation of energy service companies (ESCOs); the curriculum; the development of industry of energy efficiency); financial recovery.
The article is devoted to substantiating the impact of innovative activity of business entities on the indicators of sustainable development of Ukraine on the basis of the econometric modeling. It is proposed to consider this impact from the point of view of increasing the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) and the resulting factor of innovation implementations – the volume of innovative products sold. Analytical data from statistical reporting forms of Ukrainian enterprises were used by summarizing the data taken in the forms of statistical observation of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. The models are developed based on two methodological approaches: a generalizing indicator of efficiency and effectiveness. According to the results of a study conducted by the authors, the most significant impact on the volume of GDP is exerted, in particular: among the performance indicators – the cost of innovation and the number of business entities that have implemented innovations; efficiency – the share of the volume of scientific and scientific and technical works performed in GDP. In contrast to the current models, the proposed ones provide a high level of accuracy in assessing indicators of the macroeconomic state of Ukraine, as a basis for forming an effective state policy of sustainable development. Based on the developed models, the current directions of improving and reforming the innovation ecosystem to increase the scientific potential of Ukraine are identified.
