To reduce the negative impact of carriers of machine and tractor units on the ground and to save labor costs, it is necessary to introduce minimum tillage by combining process steps and the use of combined units. At acquisition of combined tillage machine we took into account the technical parameters of instruments and machine’s performing in a single pass such operations, as loosening the soil, making the desired mulching layer, leveling, cutting of crop stubblies and mixing them with the ground, a complete cycle of farming operations in preparing the soil for planting. Researches with methods of extreme experiments planning were conducted. As an active factors are taken: the angle of attack α (°) disk working units, tillage depth H (cm) and the speed of unit movement υ (km/h). An effort no the hook Rkr (kN) and makro-aggregate composition of the soil ε (%) are adopted for the optimization criteria. A working speed of tool makes significant impact on the driving force at operation of milling working units with a rotating speed n=250 revolutions per minute and width B=3 m. Changing the angle of attack of disk working units from 0 to 8 degrees does not cause a significant increase in the draft resistance. This is evident when you install angles, close to 0° and a minimum movement speed of the aggregate. The following operation modes of the tool are optimum: the angle of attack of the spherical disks α=4 degrees, tillage depth is H=8 cm, operating speed of the aggregate u=10 km / h. At the same time the macro – aggregate soil composition is 87.03%. The proposed technology of surface soil cultivation for planting of small-seeded crops is the least energy-intensive, so the energy intensity of 1 hectare of soil, cultivated by combined aggregate with a tractor MTZ-80 under the following conditions: H = 8 ... 10 cm, B = 3 m, υ = 2.7 m/c on medium loamy soil is 442.13 megajoule per hectare, which is to 22% less than that of the base case unit T-150K + RBR-4A
