In this paper, we propose the reefer container monitoring system that not only monitors internal temperature, humidity of reefer container but also tracks the real-time location using GPS. It consists of a tag of information of situation using 433MHz RF transmitter(communication), GPS to track the real-time location and a device using WCDMA/GSM communication to transmit information to the server. We tested by applying the proposed system in reefer containers with yellow melons, melons transported from Korea to Singapore to track the location and check the temperature and the humidity. The result of this test is that there is a temperature difference around 1.7 degree depending on the position of inside of container and maintains the humidity stably about 97%. If we apply this proposed system to agricultural marketing, it is possible to get the time that fruits start to decay and minimize the loss of fruits by decaying during shipping.
Non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs) are alternatives to vitamin K antagonists to prevent stroke in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF) and have emerged as the preferred choice. The use of NOACs is rapidly increasing in Korea after coverage by insurance since 2015. However, the rate of prescribing anticoagulants in Korean patients with AF remains low compared to other countries. Most of the NOAC anticoagulant prescriptions are issued at hospitals. As the prevalence rate of AF in Korea is expected to increase rapidly with the increase in the elderly population, the need to prescribe NOACs in primary care clinics will also increase. Therefore, The Korean Heart Rhythm Society organized the Korean Atrial Fibrillation Management
In this paper, we analyzed efficient decoding scheme with FTN (Faster than Nyquist) method that is transmission method faster than Nyquist theory and increase the throughput. we proposed viterbi equalizer model to minimize ISI (Inter-Symbol Interference) when FTN signal is transmitted. the proposed model utilized interference as branch information. In this paper, to decode FTN singal, we used turbo equalization algorithms that iteratively exchange probabilistic information between soft Viterbi equalizer (BCJR method) and LDPC decoder. By changing the trellis diagram in order to maximize Euclidean distance, we confirmed that performance was improved compared to conventional methods as increasing throughput of FTN signal.
The immune system protects the body from bacterial infection and disease, as well as cancer that develops following the mutation of cells. Aging exerts adverse effects on the immune system, such as chronic inflammation, resulting in rheumatoid arthritis. The purpose of this study was to investigate the anti-inflammatory effectiveness of Scutellaria baicalensis, which contains baicalin. HPLC analysis showed that S. baicalensis hot water extracts (SBWE) contained 42.2 mg/g of baicalin. To evaluate the cytotoxicity of SBWE, an MTT assay was carried out in Raw264.7 cells. No cytotoxicity was observed below 160 μg/ml of SBWE. SBWE at 40 μg/ml reduced the amount of nitric oxide produced by macrophages stimulated with lipopolysaccharide by 40%. In addition, SBWE inhibited phagocytosis stimulated with zymosan. Furthermore, the content of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) produced by the macrophages was decreased in the presence of SBWE in a dose-dependent manner. SBWE also inhibited the production of interleukin-1 beta (IL-1 β) in a time course experiment. Moreover, treatment with 20 μg/ml of SBWE remarkably decreased the expression level of cyclooxynase-2. The results provide evidence that SBWE may exert an anti-inflammatory effect through modulation of the immune system.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
