1102 A conservative integral for evaluation of the intensity of singularity at the vertex of interface in 3D joints

Abstract

In the present study, the conservative integral formulation is developed in order to obtain the intensity ef singularity at a vertex ofthe interface in three-dimensional dissimilar material jeints. Modets with various elernent sizes and various integral areas are used to investigate the influence of the integration area on the accuracy of the results. The results are compared with those obtained from the beundary elernent method (BEM) using a curve-fitting technique in order to calculate the intensity of singularity.
