16.3: Enhanced Oblique Viewing Angle Color Performance for S‐PVA Panels

Abstract: Viewing angle performance of LCDs is a key issue which has been approached by both subjective and statistical means. In this paper, we discuss causes of image quality degradation as a function of grayscale at a fixed off‐axis viewing angle, examining both luminance and chromaticity distortions. Oblique viewing angle performance of both 1G‐2D and 2G‐1D S‐PVA panel structures have been enhanced by controlling the two independent sub‐pixel data for each of red, green and blue.

“…[5] Due to the large PI resistance, the conduction performance of Au Line or Au Dot will be affected, resulting in The V-com Pad under the border glue is added with a cushion layer to form a groove design for blocking PI liquid, where PI will not cover ITO after diffusion, and the conduction on the TFT side will not be affected, so as to improve its Flicker picture or poor conduction. [6] GI+PVX structure can be used for the cushion, and the film thickness of GI and PVX should be consistent with that of AA zone. the thickness of the cushion layer will be much higher than the thickness of ITO+PI, and the border adhesive pressing will be affected, it is recommended to use HTM design for the cushion area.…”
