Abstract:Background
A well-known clinical dilemma complicating the management of infections in people who inject drugs (PWID) is the restriction of outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy. As a result, PWID experience prolonged hospitalizations to complete parenteral antimicrobial courses inpatient.
