Abstract: Positron emission tomography with 2-[fluorine-18]-fluoro-2-deoxy-SD-glucose ( 18 F-FDG PET) has been recognized as a noninvasive imaging modality used in oncology for the initial diagnosis, staging, restaging, and evaluation of response to treatment in numerous malignancies.
