Potential subjects were excluded if they had an acute injury of a joint or an inflammatory process, ingested glucosamine, chondroitin, or other nutritional supplements indicated for treatment of joint pain and osteoarthritis or who, from a clinical perspective, were considered likely to increase their dose of analgesic medication during the 24-week study because of severe arthralgia.…”
