Abstract: Granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) is a pleiotropic cytokine that stimulates proliferation, differentiation and function in different cells types. We have previously demonstrated (Bücher DD et al. 2008 Reprod. Dom. Anim. 43 (Suppl. 3), 146 abst.) that both subunits of GM-CSF receptor are expressed in granulosa cells from antral follicles in bovine ovaries.
