Abstract: Background Bacteremia is a life-threatening illness. Delayed treatment increases patient morbidity and healthcare costs. Accelerate Pheno™ Blood Culture Detection System (AXDX) is a novel diagnostic technology for rapid detection of gram-negative bacteremia.
