34‐5: Adaptive Refresh Rate and Resolution: Exploiting the Limitations of Spatio‐Temporal Vision

Abstract: We present two techniques that exploit the limitations of the visual system to reduce the bandwidth or computational cost of driving high‐resolution and high‐refresh‐rate displays. The first technique lets us render every second frame at half the resolution when presented on high‐refresh‐rate displays.
