464 A prospective trial for the clinical efficacy of topical washing with miconazole nitrate-containing soap to diaper candidiasis

Abstract

Increased levels of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) have been reported and related to disease progress in Psoriasis patients. Most of the tests over AMPs level from earlier studies relied on skin biopsy which was invasive for patients. This study attempted to develop a non-invasive method to assess the strastum corneum condition of Psoriasis before and after IL17A antibody treatment. 24 patients with psoriasis, 9 patients with eczema and 8 healthy volunteers were recruited. Samples were obtained by tape striping from lesional and health skin. AMPs expression levels including LL-37 and hBD2 mRNA were measured by qPCR and their relationship with clinical symptoms was studied. The results showed that the levels of the LL-37and hBD2 mRNA were significantly higher in Psoriasis patients than in healthy controls, and positively correlated with treatment of IL17A antibody.
