Abstract:In this paper, an underwater single‐capacitor coupled wireless power transmission (USCC‐WPT) system is proposed, which operates at 200 kHz and can transmit 1 kW of power at 1 m in seawater with an efficiency of 76%. The USCC‐WPT system produces no eddy current losses in seawater, and the distance is increased compared to conventional inductive power transfer systems.
