A 59-Year-Old Man With ARDS Receiving “Protective” Ventilation

Abstract: A 59-year-old man presented with a history of cough, purulent sputum, fever, and progressive breathlessness for 7 days. He had no improvement of the symptoms despite levofloxacin use (500 mg/d) in the previous 6 days. He had history of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and smoking habit (50 pack-years).
