Abstract:Systemic lupus erythematosus is an autoimmune disease which afflicts many systems. The precise pathogenesis is still unclear, but strong evidences sustain a multifactorial mechanism, based on the interaction of various genetic, epigenetic, environment, hormonal and immune-regulatory factors.
