Abstract:Many patients die while waiting for a heart transplant. Therefore, it is vital that all suitable organs are used for transplantation. We present a case of an allograft that was transplanted twice and outline considerations regarding tissue typing, the impact of repeated ischemic time, and ethical considerations with allograft retransplantation.
