A CEP-based smart residential service system

Abstract

With sensor technologies developed for home electronic appliances, smart residential systems provide more effective and convenient services for residents. The management of a huge number of data from such sensors is a great challenge for smart residential systems. Complex event processing (CEP) is a technology designed to manage events efficiently and flexibly. In this paper, we propose a smart residential service system which uses complex event processing technologies to manage all access events from smart key devices timely and intelligently.
