Abstract:BACKGROUNDCleft lip and palate patients present large osseous defects of the alveolus and midface hypoplasia. Traditional orthognathic surgery has limitations of relapse and limited age group. Distraction osteogenesis (DO) as a modality for midface advancement is relatively new.
