A closer look at ankyloglossia in children—A case series

Abstract: Ankyloglossia, often known as tongue-tie, is characterized by a small lingual frenum that obstructs normal tongue movement. It is a rare congenital oral abnormality. The most significant clinical symptom of movement restriction is evaluated clinically by requesting the patient to protrude and elevate their tongues, where the “heart-shaped” tongue can be seen.
