A collaborated genetic with lion optimization algorithms for improving the quality of forwarding in a vehicular ad-hoc network

Abstract: Vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) is dynamic and it works on various noteworthy applications in intelligent transportation systems (ITS). In general, routing overhead is more in the VANETs due to their properties. Hence, need to handle this issue to improve the performance of the VANETs. Also due to its dynamic nature collision occurs. Up till now, we have had immense complexity in developing the multi-constrained network with high quality of forwarding (QoF). To solve the difficulties especially to control the… Show more

“…The relay nodes function as a hopping node, shortening the path from the remote sensing device to the BS/sinks [26], [27]. In finding more optimal path in [28] used ant colony optimization technique and in [29] introduced dynamic routing mechanism to enhance energy efficiency; however, the reliability of less packet failure is not considered in routing decision. In addressing the research issues of ensuring lifetime and providing reliability the following methodology is provided in the next section.…”

“…Therefore, to address these routing challenges in Vanet, various routing techniques and protocols have been proposed. In [1], reliable routing protocols, like the improved genetic algorithm and lion optimization routing protocol, are suggested for selecting the best and optimal route. These routing protocols consider the movement and direction of vehicles, access points, and mobility, making them more efficient and reliable compared to traditional routing protocols.…”

“…Ironically, the evolution-based metaheuristic was introduced earlier than the swarm intelligence. Moreover, the genetic algorithm, as the most popular evolution-based metaheuristic, is still utilized in many recent studies regarding optimization, such as for power system stabilizers [1], path planning [31], vehicular ad-hoc network [32], text encryption [33], vehicle scheduling [34], credit rating system [35], course timetabling [36], cloud system [37], and so on. This circumstance becomes the primary motivation of this work in developing a new evolution-based metaheuristic.…”
