A Compact Coplanar Waveguide-fed Ultra-WidebandTextile Antenna for Wireless Body Area Network application

Abstract: A compact CPW fed textile antenna is proposed for wireless body area network (WBAN) applications. It consists of rectangular shaped radiating patch with a stair case and ground plane and these two parameters have more impact on impedance bandwidth. The antenna is designed using the jean fabric material with size of 21 × 16 ×1 mm3and fabricated. The antenna has covered the desired UWB 3.1 - 10.6 GHz effectively.
