Abstract:A V‐band 1‐V compact voltage‐controlled oscillator (VCO) is implemented in 0.18 μm CMOS technology with low power dissipation from 6.3 to 16.1 mW. A proposed frequency doubler can increase oscillation frequency and is also used for replacing varactors and buffers. A 0.1‐mm2 small chip layout area and isolation improvement can be achieved.
