A Comparative Analysis of Three Monocular Passive Ranging Methods on Real Infrared Sequences

Abstract: Three monocular passive ranging methods are analyzed and tested on the real infrared sequences. The first method exploits scale changes of an object in successive frames, while other two use Beer-Lambert's Law. Ranging methods are evaluated by comparing with simultaneously obtained reference data at the test site.
