A Comparative Study of Light‐Emitting Diodes Based on All‐Inorganic Perovskite Nanoparticles (CsPbBr3) Synthesized at Room Temperature and by a Hot‐Injection Method

Abstract: Perovskite nanoparticles (PeNPs) have been extensively studied for optoelectronic applications, owing to their extremely high photoluminescence quantum yield, tunable band gap, and exceptionally narrow emission spectra. Therefore, PeNPs are considered excellent candidates for the development of high‐efficiency, low‐cost, wide‐gamut, and high‐purity color displays. However, their synthesis typically involves multistep cumbersome processes that might hinder commercial development. Herein, green light‐emitting di… Show more

“…Here, the electroluminescence (EL) feature of the CsPbBr 3– x I x nanoparticle film-based device ( x = 0.63) was studied (Figure 5). Application of an electrical field (9 V, Figure S21) induced a shift of EL peak with respect to the PL due to the Stark effect 44 (see Figure 5A). Significantly, no shift of the EL peak position at 523 nm was observed at the working conditions of the device (Figure 5B), without any additional emission signals elsewhere.…”

“…Those ligands that remain on the surface of CsPbX 3 NCs have been identified as playing a crucial role in determining the device performance of LEDs . For example, Sargent and co‐workers prepared CsPbX 3 quantum dots (QDs) capped with a relatively short ligand, namely didodecyl dimethyl ammonium bromide (DDAB) and found that DDAB resulted in efficient charge injection and better charge transport.…”

“…To develop high-performance all-inorganic PeLEDs, one crucial way is the optimization of emitting materials CsPbX 3 [61,62,63,64,65,66]. In fact, most of the reports about all-inorganic PeLEDs are mainly focused on this way.…”
