A Comparative Study of Precise Point Positioning (PPP) Accuracy Using Online Services

Abstract: Precise Point Positioning (PPP) is a technique used to determine the position of receiver antenna without communication with the reference station. It may be an alternative solution to differential measurements, where maintaining a connection with a single RTK station or a regional network of reference stations RTN is necessary. This situation is especially common in areas with poorly developed infrastructure of ground stations. A lot of research conducted so far on the use of the PPP technique has been concer… Show more

“…In Figure 6 we verified the determined XYZ coordinates of the aircraft in the GAPS programme. For this purpose, we determined the difference in the XYZ coordinates of the aircraft between the solution made in the GAPS programme and in the CSRS-PPP programme [13]. The average value of the difference in the X-coordinate is equal to 0.…”

“…The PPP measurement technique uses the mathematical model of the linear combination equation -"Ionosphere-Free". The computations of the reference position of the aircraft Cessna 172 for the PPP measurement technique were made in the CSRS-PPP programme [12]. In the framework of the calculations performed in the CSRS-PPP programme, the authors used dual frequency P1/P2 code and L1/L2 phase observations from the airborne receiver Topcon HiperPro.…”
