A comprehensive simulation study of hybrid halide perovskite solar cell with copper oxide as HTM

Abstract: Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have attracted considerable attention as a competitor technology in solar cells due to the rapid enhancement in their power conversion efficiency (PCE) in recent years. PSCs have several advantages such as their bandgap tunability, lower cost, tolerance of high impurities, protracted diffusion length and wide optical absorption. In this paper, simulation of PSCs with copper oxide as a hole transport material (HTM) and different electron transport materials (ETMs) has been presente… Show more

“…A lot of work has been devoted to study the bulk defects and their impact on the solar cell performance [24][25][26][27]; however, very little efforts were directed to study the interface defects between the different layers of the cell [16,17,28,29]. In this work, we have investigated thoroughly the influence of the interface defects on the performance of lead-based and lead-free PSCs.…”

“…Chloride/Iodide mixed halide perovskite MAPbI3-xClx is utilized in a wide range because of the thermal stability of the MAPbI3-xClx films that is up to 140 °C and its better carrier diffusion lengths than MAPbI3 ( Methyl-ammonium lead iodide) [18]. Despite the worthy progress of the perovskite solar cells, lead toxicity remains the main obstacle to the wide PSCs applications [22,24].…”
