A contribution to the control of voltage and power of the interconnection between two decentralized electrical grids with an optimal localization of the SVC devices in real-time

Abstract: <p>Several problems related to the power grid in the region of Adrar, in southern Algeria, where it is not connected to the Algerian national network. This region contains many energy resources for power stations, wind and photovoltaic farms. The industrial development in this region requires a connection with the national network to rationalize renewable energy sources and allow sufficient capacity of power for the two grids. The work involved in studying the possibility of interconnection between the g… Show more

“…Simulations are performed to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm for fault detection period. The results are compared with the frequently used general model based method of fault isolation technique [3,19], where the alarm will be sent to central monitoring concentrator whenever a network changes its behaviour. The simulations are performed for multiple faults and the corresponding fault detection periods are recorded for up to100 nodes.…”

“…Easy scaling is not the only benefit from distributed and decentralized systems [3], fault tolerance is also similarly significant. A detail study of fault isolation techniques are discussed in "Analysis of Techniques for Isolation of Faults in Survivable Computer Networks" [4,5].…”

“…It can also be carried out, at least partially, by an alternator. The power factor (PF) is equal to the ratio of the active power PMW to the apparent power SMVA [9]. The power factor or almost the Cos (φ) and the tg (φ) are related by the following relation:…”

“…The simulations result of this technique is justified the minimization the ripples of switching in the inverter and reduces the harmonious of the torque and the stator current. The transit of reactive power in enormous capacities through transmission and repartition lines affects the disturbance of the electricity grid, in particular the overall stability of the electricity system [9]. So this difficulty increases the total active and reac-tive losses, and consequently the voltage drops in the substations which obliges the electricity distribution companies to increase the regulation range of the autotrans-formers and use a many primary sources to produce electricity, that is to say an increase in the costs of managing electrical energy.…”
