Abstract:Introduction:In recent times, diagnostic and interventional imaging medical procedures using ionizing radiation are being used excessively in hospitals and clinics, thus helping in more accurate diagnosis of various pathologies. However, the use of ionizing radiation is also associated with harmful biological effects like cell death and alteration of DNA of exposed cells.
