“…The aluminium sheet reflectors cooker is easy to fabricate and its durability and handling is more convenient and comfortable than mirror type reflectors. The achieved maximum temperature during experimentation was 123 o C. Motwani and Patel (2019)in their study have stated that maximum meals can be prepared in the temperature range of 60-100 o C. The brief review of solar parabolic trough collectors has been provided by Upadhyay, Patel and Ramana (2019) and they revealed parabolic trough collector technology has vast uses and its efficiency can be enhanced by using phase change materials (PCM). According to Akayleh, Al-soud and Al-jufout (2018) the use of mechanical tracking can be a innovative approach in solar parabolic trough collectors for concentrating solar radiations cooking purposes and bread baking which require higher temperature ranges.…”

“…Effect of varying concentration ratio, solar intensity, and flow rate were calculated using Engineering Equation Solver. Bhargav et al [8] presented a detailed review of work done optimizing of geometrical components for various applications of parabolic trough collector. Evangelisti et al [21] investigated a review of the latest advances on solar thermal collectors.…”

“…The current work differs from previously published review articles in terms of content, presentation and objectives [10][11][12][13]. This review article provides detailed information on the basic principles of the design of parabolic trough solar collectors, including all relevant terminology and mathematical formulae needed to calculate their performance parameters and a comprehensive, up-to-date review of various studies (both experimental and numerical) that have been carried out to augment their thermal performance.…”
