Abstract:Upper-extremity arterial injury is a common and serious condition that may lead to amputation if improperly treated. Ligation of the ulnar or radial artery is frequently performed by vascular surgeons as a method of treatment, which should be avoided, particularly if the radial and ulnar arteries were both injured. A different approach to reconstruction is described in the present report.
