A Discipline's Composition: A Citation Analysis of Composition Studies

Abstract: Citation patterns in the field of composition studies are analyzed and compared with patterns in other humanities fields. Results showed marked differences in citation patterns between composition studies and other humanities fields, including literary studies. Librarians can use this information to forge more productive relationships with composition studies faculty.
