Abstract: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a highly aggressive tumor type characterized by a particularly extensive stroma. While different types of cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in this desmoplastic stroma have been described, areas of early invasion and nascent stroma are understudied.
