O Turismo de Base Comunitária (TBC) surge como uma alternativa ao turismo de massa no sentido de propor a gestão do turismo pela própria comunidade. Contudo, os estudos apontam para potenciais de TBC, sem se debruçar sobre os aspectos da gestão interna das comunidades. O objetivo do trabalho é analisar o potencial para implementação do TBC no Assentamento 72, em Ladário, MS. A pesquisa é qualitativa, utilizou-se a história oral como método de entrevistas, e os dados foram analisados a partir da análise de conteúdo e com auxílio do software IRAMUTEQ. Os resultados identificam questões de gestão interna do assentamento, existem práticas de associativismo e decisões autônomas, além de parcerias com a Embrapa Pantanal e com a UFMS. Assim, notou-se que existe potencial para desenvolver TBC no assentamento pesquisado. Apesar de não ocorrer prática de turismo, existem conversas sobre planejamento e execução de uma festa com produtos locais e há a possibilidade de oferecer passeios no assentamento para os turistas conhecerem essa realidade. As discussões sobre as iniciativas de TBC precisam avançar no sentido de não apenas expor potencialidades ligadas a passeios, mas em compreender a organização e as múltiplas relações das comunidades receptoras.

Reference flows are important variables for assessing water availability in Brazil, as well as in rural communities in the state of Goiás (Brazil). However, as there is a lack of flowrate data and measurement points, regionalization methods have been used for forecasting the minimum reference flow (Qref) allowed for maintaining water uses. The present research covered 92 hydrographic basins within 46 selected rural communities in the state of Goiás, and 21 basins were selected for carrying out on-site flow measurements, as well as for Qref estimation following three regionalization methodologies. Results show a large variation between the values measured and estimated by the three methodologies, but the statistical analysis found regression equations of one of the methods more suitable for application in rural hydrograph basins of Goiás.

Irrigation is an essential technology for the increase in productivity, improvement of quality of produce, increase in producers’ income, and the good quality of water is fundamental for the success of those benefits. The presence of salts in high concentrations may cause salinization of the soil, toxicity in plants and damage to irrigation equipment, such as sprinkler clogging, which causes environmental and economic losses. This study aimed at characterizing and classifying the quality of water for irrigation in the Antônio Conselheiro Settlement (AAC, in Portuguese) area, located in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. Samples were monthly collected from the main water sources in the area, the Sepotuba and Juba rivers, and Tarumã creek, from October 2014 to September 2015. The assessed variables were bicarbonate, calcium, chlorides, electric conductivity, magnesium, pH, and sodium. The results were compared with the parameters established in the literature and were used to classify the waters by means of the Piper diagram and the United States Salinity Laboratory (USSL) diagram. Out of the assessed variables, only electric conductivity, pH and SAR presented restrictions to use in irrigation. The Piper diagram classification indicates the presence of chloride sodic waters (59%), bicarbonate sodic waters (38%), and mixed chloride waters (3%). Good or excellent waters were found in 88.2%. Therefore, the water available in the AAC area, in surface and underground sources, may be used in sprinkler and localized irrigation systems without major harm to the soil or to the crops.
