Abstract:A novel impedimetric temperature sensor which utilizes the electrochemical impedance between two electrodes exposed to an aqueous solution to transduce temperature is presented. The solution resistance between electrodes is highly temperature dependent since ionic mobility increases with temperature. High-frequency electrochemical impedance can be used to accurately measure solution resistance, and therefore transduce fluid temperature. A temperature sensor composed of two platinum electrodes on a thin film Pa… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
