A frequency tunable relativistic magnetron with a wide operation regime

Abstract: A frequency tunable relativistic magnetron (RM) with a wide operation regime is proposed. With the all cavity-magnetron axial extraction technique, the RM can output TEM mode with the operating frequency of 4.3 GHz, which is demonstrated as the dominating output mode by theoretical analysis, cold simulations and hot simulations respectively, corresponding to the output power of 466 MW and the power conversion efficiency of 56.4 %.
