A general joint action model for herbicide mixtures

Abstract: : The assessment of mixture e †ects is usually done with isoboles which illustrate whether mixture e †ects are greater or smaller than would be expected on the basis of the individual activities of the herbicides. Under the assumption of similarity of response curves and by incorporating a function that can model the shape of isoboles, we can statistically test whether divergence from the Additive Dose Model (ADM) is signiÐcant. Two dose-response experiments with mixtures of either salt or ester formulations o… Show more

“…The parameter GR 50 is the dose producing a response halfway between the upper limit, d (fixed at 100), and the lower limit (fixed at 0), c. The parameter b denotes the relative slope around GR 50 [19].…”

“…In parallel, research has also been carried to establish more adequate and more rigorous bioassays and methods to investigate seed germination responses to allelopathins, namely in relation to the dependency of functional availability of phytochemicals on seed density [19,20], biologically meaningful parameterization of seed germination or growth over time [21,22] and the relevance of seed morphology including seed volume on seeds responses to allelopathic compounds [23].…”
