Abstract:Immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is an autoimmune disease that affects thousands of Americans each year. The resulting thrombocytopenia, which develops from destruction of platelets (PLT) by anti-PLT autoantibodies (APAb), is often associated with hemorrhagic complications.
